My 5 favorite Mumbai street foods

Indians love their food and Mumbaikars simply crave street food.Take a Mumbaikar away from Mumbai and he will be pining away like a lost lover and his taste buds feel empty without the street food of Mumbai.Being a Mumbaikar,listing my top five Mumbai street foods 'toh banta hai' -

1) Panipuri:  This dish is my favorite.The crunchy puri filled with potatoes,ragda,sweet chutney and the mint chutney can make anyone's day a 1000 times better.I have tried puchkas and golgappas but the Panipuri will always be my favorite.You can find many innovative fillings in the puri these days which include orange juice,jaljeera and even vodka. You should surely give this one a try. A plate costs around 40-60Rs

2)Vada Pav:  Considered to be the signature dish of Mumbai ,this Indian burger can win anyone's heart with its potato filled awesomeness. Every Vada Pav vendors Vada Pav tastes different,but it is always delicious. These come for around 10 Rs per Vada Pav

3)Frankie:  This is my favorite after college snack.It is basically a wrap with delicious fillings.You can find Frankie's with different fillings like Schezwan,Pizza,Mac n Cheese,Chinese Bhel,Manchurian,Paneer Tikka etc.My favorite is Chinese Bhel with grated cheese on the top.(Yes, its very very unhealthy).The price of this depends on the location,I've normally had to pay around 40-70 Rs for this.

4)Dosa:  Dosa is native to the south,but I love the dosas that are available on Mumbai streets.You can get fillings like Noodles,Pizza,Schezwan etc(almost the same as Frankie).They are available for the price of 50-90Rs

5)Pav Bhaji: This beautiful mixture of vegetable and masala eaten with bread fried in butter is a sin.You can get Jain options or ones with cheese on top of them,but one thing is certain-it would take you on a rollercoaster ride of flavors.

There's more to this never ending love story between me and my Mumbai street food,but I have to reign myself in as this is a five point agenda.
