Captured Memories
It has become so easy these days to collect
pictures of every moment.Just a few clicks, transfer them to your storage device and let them be lost into oblivion or may be post them on Facebook,Instagram,Tumblr,Twitter etc, gather comments and likes from
friends and then forget about them.
Remember those times when clicking pictures was an occasional event and not something we did every second ? We clicked pictures to capture memories of something that brought back old memories or maybe reminded you of some happy moment you felt a long time ago. We did not just click photos to inform our friends about the weather outside our window which they are obviously aware of.

Pictures these days have lost the charm that they used to
hold before (I’m not drunk).Everyone looks beautiful in pictures and the
subject of most of our pictures these days is ourselves. The “selfie” craze has
spread like a mad epidemic and has forced everyone to document each and every
second of their lives. These photos
however, are not worth saving.
Sure you can go back to them and fawn over your own photo shopped
beauty, but what about those rare impromptu clicks in which you aren't posing
like a kingfisher model and are probably laughing like a raccoon with food
falling out of your mouth with your best friends around you rolling on the
floor in laughter?
You’ll probably think of yourself as the ugliest person in
town, but you will surely remember that moment and smile. That one moment of
mirth that was captured without your knowledge, without any filters or edits
which you probably didn't care to do because it wasn't “post-worthy”, but is
capable of making you relive that moment and feel that happiness again. That is
the power of a genuine photograph.
I’m not asking you to not click selfies or not send Snapchats.
All I am asking you to do is to not delete those gross-looking, ugly as fennel (I
won’t swear on my blog) photos. Keep them in a separate folder, away from the
eyes of the social media audience, just for you to see and be happy. After all,
these are the Captured Memories that will make you happier than your
oh-so-gorgeous duck-face selfies.
